8 AMERICAN BLUES THEATER 1. The Western Brown Line CTA Station where the murder that Moroni and Perez are trying to solve is committed. This station was first put into service in 1907, and has been rebuilt twice since: first in the late 1920s, and again from 1979 to 1981. 2. Moroni lives near Welles Park. Amanda also mentions that she walks up Lincoln Avenue to the Western el stop to avoid the poorly-lit park at night. Welles Park was developed in 1908 as part of the Lincoln Park Commission. 3. The Golden Nugget where Amanda works and Moroni frequents. In reality this is now the location of a Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, and when this “Golden” diner shuttered its doors in 2013 it actually was called the “Golden Angel” (a former member of the Golden Nugget franchise). 4. Amanda’s home is near the intersection of Lincoln and Patterson. In the play, she says that on nice days she’ll walk all the way home from work down Lincoln Avenue (a one mile walk—approximately 20 minutes). IMPORTANT LOCATIONS IN SIX CORNERS 3 1 2 4 The events in Six Corners take place in a variety of locations across northwest Chicago. Below is a breakdown of where those locations are and some of the history behind them. The Golden Angel at Montrose and Lincoln before it closed in 2013 The Western Brown Line CTA Station
